Certain project goals are simply beyond the ability of any electric equipment. When necessary, ELM utilizes equipment like our Toro TX-1000 with a Blue Diamond brush deck to clear out large tracts of land infested with invasive shrubs, trees, and vines. We also brushmow natural areas for maintenance or when prescribed fires is not an option. With the Toro TX-1000 compacted size, understory clearing is not a problem within forested communities. The wide tracks of the machine distribute the mere 3,000 pounds over a large ground contact area, creating minimal soil disturbance while operating and the 35 hp. Kubota diesel engine provides huge power, while sipping fuel.

The Duneland Beach Association needed dune restoration work on a section of their naturalized lakeshore during the summer of 2020.
The town permitted their neighbor in utilizing an access point for the a construction company to address the erosion concerns on their property. Once the construction company completed their work for the neighbor, dune restoration was needed to restore the access point back to a naturalized dune to help reduce shoreline erosion. ELM repaired the area by placing erosion blankets and installing over 1,000 native marram grass sprigs to help the dune recover. Snow fence was installed to reduce human foot-traffic, which will help marram grass establishment. |
